Business Intelligence Strategy
A formalised BI strategy is a key foundation to ensure that your investment in business intelligence provides a lasting benefit. We develop this "master plan" together with you using our phase-oriented approach.
An assessment at the beginning clarifies the initial situation and conditions. In the development phase of the BI strategy, the vision, mission and objectives are established. From these we derive the measures to be implemented via the BI program, as well as the roadmap of your BI projects at the strategic, organisational and system levels.
Using the BI strategy as a basis, the BI governance sets out the coordination of all relevant BI activities. This applies to the responsibility and controlling of BI as a part of organisation, the interaction between the business unit and IT, the structured enhancement of the BI target status, the strategic prioritisation of BI projects and their resources, the use of standardised terms and processes, the requirements management, life cycle management of BI solutions and the data quality monitoring.
The establishment of a BI Competence Centre (BICC) is often one of the first steps in the successful implementation of a BI strategy and can be a supporting pillar for genuine BI governance.
